Little Vumbura is a small six tented camp set on an island and only accessible by water.
Having driven a short distance from the airstrip to their boat station on the ‘main land’ it is then ten minutes to the camp by boat and a very attractive way to arrive. Walking along the 40m long raised walk way you arrive at the main lodge area which is under canvas and all on platforms about a metre above the flood plain.
Little Vumbura consists of a bar with a superb sausage tree top, dining area, lounge and a quiet small library area. It is all very comfortably furnished raised on decking over the flood plain. The whole area is shaded by many large old trees from the ancient Okavango Delta forest. You get the feeling that you are part of the bush right down to the termite mound protruding through the platform in the library.
There is a very nice small swimming pool in an attractive setting. The tents are very spacious and comfortably furnished with two single beds or a huge double bed. They have an en-suite bathroom and a large open outside sitting area overlooking the flood plains.
