Lebala Camp, owned by Kwando Safaris, is located on the Kwando concession on the Linyanti Swamps. It is in the far north eastern part of Botswana bordering Namibia. This concession is one of the largest in the country and consists of one other photographic camp, Lagoon, to the North. The terrain is very different to the Okavango Delta and indeed varies enormously between the two camps. It is a one hour flight by light aircraft from Maun into their own airstrip.
There is a very comfortable thatched lodge area with bar and curio shop overlooking the plains. To the side is a small splash pool with the same view. The eight tents are roomy with sliding doors leading from a sitting area into the bedroom. The large two single or enormous double beds are orientated so that they overlook the flood plains through the door screens. There are two easy chairs a coffee table and desk. Behind is a large bathroom with Victorian style bath and a screened shower area outside.
Meals are all inclusive and the cuisine is excellent with an early breakfast by the camp fire. An extensive brunch. Afternoon tea is with homemade cakes and savouries. Dinner being three courses with wine.
